À propos de cet audio
Two sisters. One enchanted forest. And a reckless choice that could destroy kingdoms …
Taken away from her ordinary life, Rose Valrois finds herself in a world full of secrets and forbidden magic. There she meets her new stepsister, the enigmatic Princess Neeve, who will either become her best friend … or her worst enemy.
In the shadows of the magical Darkwood, Rose discovers danger and adventure in her quest for answers about the mysteries surrounding her. When she’s rescued by Thorne, the Dark Elf guardian of the forest, he binds her to the Darkwood and forbids her to speak of its secrets.
But secrets have a way of getting loose, especially when there’s hidden magic involved, and Rose falls deeper into the thorny tangles of her own past. Her sister, Neeve, is concealing dangerous powers of her own, and the two of them are soon entangled in a destiny that will bring them face-to-face on opposite sides of a deadly magical war.
Ultimately, Rose must risk her freedom, her world, and even her truest love to save her sister. Can she bear to make that sacrifice? Does she even have the choice?

I loved the different words and the way they told there stories.

1. She literally sees the red priest performing magic she knows the red priests perform magic and they’re attacking people with magic because “they don’t like when other people can do what they do” but when she’s in rain and someone mentions the red preists starting to do magic she acts shocked and surprised. And never again in the series is there a question of whether the red priests can do magic or not. Like we all know they can. So why was there a moment when everyone just forgot that it’s a well known fact??
2. She talks a lot about how the nerwin harvest is next summer and she’s wondering what they’re going to do about prince keean (sp?) being there and so many other preparations etc. then when Thorne says “next summer” she’s like “why what’s next summer? “ like she’s completely oblivious of what’s happening next summer. Like the whole book is basically revolving around Nerwin harvests so how could you not know what’s happening next summer…
3. Mistress Anya says that magic doesn’t happen until adult years but only in some rare cases it could come as early as 14. Then she wakes up on her 14th birthday expecting to be magic and acts disappointed it hasn’t come yet ever after. And Thorne and Anya keep looking for magic in her like it should be in there by now but like they originally said that it wouldn’t come until adulthood… then for the rest of the book everyone’s like surprised her magic took so long to come. It’s just confusing. Like that first conversation should have said magic comes at 14 always or it doesn’t come if that’s how they’re going to act for the rest of the series.
But other than the inconsistencies I did still quite enjoy it!
Good universe and magic building and the fantasy romance without explicit scenes make it feel like ACOTAR but for teens.
