David is a master of logic and language. If you're ever looking for a relatively short, entertaining read, The Devil's Delusion by David Berlinski is outstanding. He dismantles atheism with ease but what really makes it worthwhile is his mastery of language.

While the author makes the occasional good and fair points in his book, he far more often resorts to cheap shots at individual views he disagrees with. If you are looking for something to affirm your beliefs in Intelligent Design this book is for you. If you are looking for a logical and accurate dismantling of science and athiest perspective then it is sadly lacking. As a skeptic I was truly hoping for a read that would reasonably challenge the leading theories of modern understanding. Instead what I got was regular assumptive reasoning, misrepresented information, and appeals to emotion and desire for reason. This book had potential, but failed to say anything of genuine significance.
