When the baroness of Forthyn's daughter disappears, she calls on the legendary orc hero Durik to find her. Durik enlists his old questing partners - the dwarf alchemist Ulma Grimstone and roguish Logan Lashley - in the hopes of reliving their glory days. Together they journey to fear-struck Fallowhearth. There, instead of clues, they uncover necromancy: graveyards emptied of corpses, with trails of footprints leading into sinister Blind Muir Forest.... Worth getting!

I'm a big fan of the Descent Journeys in the Dark board game (have played 18 games to date) and this book makes the game more enjoyable. Learning of some of the world history and heroes that are in the game, brought more meaning to the game foe me. You don't need to play the game to enjoy this book though, because the characters are easy to connect to. Looking forward to the next book because I liked this one so much.
