Disappointing End to a series
Unfortunately equally as bad as book 4. I had high hopes from book 1, but the characters don’t progress, and the constant terrible romance and melodrama, the insistence on unnecessary characters and lame side plots, lost me. This book needed some serious culling, and could have easily been HALF as long. I’m sad I wasted a credit on this

Best book series, with a magnificent finale book
Some series are great at the beginning and slowly the quality of the story dies, not with The Black Witch series. The Dryad Storm had me rushing to listen to the next chapter over and over again out of anticipation of what was next. The last hour of the book had me in tears. A perfect finale to an amazing story, where the writer reaches closure. Definitely on my “read again” list.

First books were better
I fell in love with the characters in the first couple of books, but this book was not my favourite. I struggled to get through the last 10 chapters. Too many repetitive lines and phrases and too much focus on all the different couples. Some of my favourites like Diana were pretty much non existent in this book.

Screw division, become an earth loving Pagan instead!
Words cannot describe how much I love this series!!
What more could a Wiccan ask for in a high fantasy book series about magic and the uniting of all earth loving people to take down toxic religion?

Repetitive and did not meet expectations
I loved the series up until this book. I had anticipated the release and was sadly disappointed. Character story lines felt very repetitive, even specific dialogue was repeated across various chapters. It also seemed as though that the majority of the book focused on coupling scenes, some completely irrelevant to the progression of the story. I was hoping for more of the previous book’s story line and characters to carry over, but I was disappointed. There were definitely some good chapters and story conclusions, but it is my least favourite book of the series.

Tedious
I had enjoyed the earlier books in this series. This, however, was tedious, riddled with repetitive language, and unnecessarily long “coupling “scenes.
Forest lost the plot somewhere in the trees.

Repetitive and exasperating
I found this book anointing… they never seem to win they lose over and over and this is the constant narrative. It’s like the good people is also stupid and make stupid mistakes for the “sake of the story “
I lost interest with so many different stories and names.
It’s way too long with way too many conversations and explanations that made me exasperated.
The love plot it’s not interesting enough to keep me hooked I got bored jumping from one couple to another and one forest to another.
The narrator is great though, her voice is very welcoming .
I enjoy the first book I was hoping for a great ending.
