À propos de cet audio
The world of Alaria is changing, and the goddess who created it has no idea why.
On the eve of the apocalypse, Liam is transported to another world, along with his house....
Liam was waiting for his father to come home from work when the house shook, and two moons appeared overhead. Stranded within a land where he doesn't speak the language and people are set on attacking him, he must survive in this new land where nothing makes sense.
A gorgeous princess holds the key to him learning about this new world he has found himself in, and little of it is good news. First up, learning why people keep attacking his house.

Great Story!
The concepts are unique and fun. I really enjoyed a lot of aspects that are a bit different than I've seen before. Book 2 gives a lot of closure but I'm still really looking forward to book 3 yet I'm satisfied even if it takes a while. It has a hint of kingdom building a bit more of enchanting/item crafting and good family feels. I totally recommend this book.

Meh. Not Bad, I Guess
There are some interesting elements to this "GameLit" novel by Joshua Kern. It doesn't have much in the way of game mechanics (point buy, character progression, etc.), but rather uses the existence of a world driven by users as a matrix to tell a fantasy romance story. "Liam" is transported - along with his modern technology-laden house - to the reality of Alaria where he falls for a beautiful princess and battles foes.
The book has an intriguing setting but is "average" in terms of plotting and pacing.
Fortuitously for audiobook consumers: Reader Neil Heleggers is a praiseworthy narrator. He tends to overenunciate at times, draws occasional deep audible breaths, and is sometimes annoyingly overdramatic, but his performance is better than typical (the deep, booming voice of "Alaria" in dragon form represents genuinely impressive voice-acting).
All in all, 'The Dungeon Alaria' (Book One of the Portal Dungeon Prime series) rates 6 stars out of 10. It didn't captivate me enough to continue on to other entries, but was a serviceable timekiller as a free selection. If it leaves the 'Plus' menu, however, keep browsing.
