Interesting analysis of complex topic
this book takes an American perspective on the issue of police violence and makes step-by-step arguments for divesting from policing. Offered persspectives that I hadn't considered. Very glad I read it.

Good thesis and outline— poorly written.
Unfortunately, as my title states, this book suffers from poor writing. The thesis and outline are great but the author has not woven in enough empirical research and relies too heavily on anecdote, rhetoric, and editorializing. I think the core of his thesis is likely correct, and someone should write a book more clearly displaying the research behind it.
