The Faith Within

The Faith Within is my candid truth, plain and unvarnished, about my painful, devastating, and difficult journey of losing my (and my husband's) first child. When you lose a baby due to miscarriage, stillbirth, or at or after birth, you can also lose your hope of being a mother. My sincere hope is that by sharing my journey of losing a child, with its many winding and uncertain paths, the tools I sought out, adopted, and fully utilized during my journey to reach a place of healing and acceptance will bless, encourage, and enable the listener to embrace their journey of losing a child, conquer their fears, and begin a deep excavation into the bedrock of their soul to tap into their faith within. To the tired, weary, and faith-tested mothers (and fathers): You are not alone.

In this book, I share one of the most difficult journeys of any parent: losing a child. This is my reality, no matter how hard I try to erase the thoughts - I lost my baby. I invite you into my reality. The information I share in this book, though difficult to pen at times, I hope leaves you in a place where you can find peace, healing, and the strength to move forward as I share from my perspective - the feeling of loneliness after the loss, walking through the grief, starting the healing process, educating yourself, overcoming self-blame, silencing the shame to share your story, having hope after loss, and having the faith to move forward.
