the senseless killing of Haitian people

I knew not of the part of history between the Dominicans and Haitians. It's upsetting and heartbreaking that by the order of one man, so much blood was spilled. And over what? the language? the skin color? As a people we must do better. History is full of such horror stories. Lest we repeat history, we must educate ourselves on the different people and their cultures.
