I didn't know what to expect from this book. I was pulled in quickly and enjoyed the pace, the unfolding of this very unlikely story and the narration.
I enjoyed every single minute.
I have not read, They Both Die at the End but it's next on my list!

Adam Silvera does it again! I love his simple storylines that hold so much more if you really think. I appreciate his use of words and the way he tells queer stories.

This prequel in itself is well done but tying in younger versions of characters from the first book was woven really nicely. More backstory or history would be nice, especially with Death Case and the system. It wants to be told, but just lingers and moves on.

A worthy prequel

I sit here balling my eyes out as I share my experience of The First to Die At The End. A science fiction story of love and loss. Two boys and their families share their stories as the boys try to share a lifetime’s worth of experience and love on the last day of their lives together. The story is so intense that I had to take a couple of days off from reading it. It’s worth the 10 hours of your life.
