On Nicki's 21st birthday, she wakes in a strange new world. She discovers she's really Nicole Elaine Varda Matthias, princess of Kama. Nicki is heartbroken over losing her husband, best friend, and close friend, but she is thrilled to have family who understands her in a way no one else can. Nicki's mother and sister are also mute, and everyone in the royal palace understands sign.
She quickly realizes her parents are not who she hoped. Nicki goes on a faith-filled journey as she learns she is one of The Four Children of Kama sent to another world and who will return on their 21st birthday. Everything changes when she meets the second of The Four, and her father declares that he must either become her husband or die.
