The Gathering: A Tale of the Second Coming follows Atlas, a skeptical journalist navigating a world teetering on the brink of collapse. Amid global unrest, natural disasters, and an emerging global leader promising peace, Atlas begins investigating a series of mysterious disappearances tied to a growing religious movement. His initial disbelief is challenged when he encounters figures like Pastor Anna, a discredited preacher who warns of the coming rapture, and a strange wanderer named Gabriel, who cryptically urges Atlas to "be ready for the gathering."
As events unfold, Atlas' skepticism begins to unravel. The world descends further into chaos, with millions vanishing suddenly, governments failing, and a charismatic world leader emerging who forces the acceptance of a global identification system—the Mark of the Beast. The persecution of Christians intensifies, and Atlas' search for truth leads him to the underground remnants of believers who continue to spread the Gospel and resist the Antichrist.
