He's been looking in the windows again. Messing with cameras. Leaving notes.
Supposed to be a refuge. But death got inside.
When Katie Straw's body is pulled from the waters of the local suicide spot, the police decide it's an open-and-shut case. A standard-issue female suicide.
But the residents of Widringham domestic violence shelter where Katie worked don't agree. They say it's murder.
Will you listen to them?
An addictive literary thriller about a crime as shocking as it is commonplace, KEEPER will leave you reeling long after the final word is heard.

All too close to reality
In the past year or two, I have listened to the "Real Crime Profile" podcast a lot. one of the many things I have learned about are some of the many different ways in which coersive control manifests.
The Keeper, is a Master class in coersive control. From well meaning but ineffectual friends to the insidious ways in which people are isolated to the inadequate response of police in many cases (sometimes it's black swan syndrome), to the way in which we are all so hasty to cast judgement on appearance, Jessica Moor calls each and all of us to really see what could be happening if only we had the courage to see and the knowledge to ask the correct questions.
