Pretty Good

It is amazing how profound Mary Shelley was in the creation of science-fiction as she wrote some of the most iconic stories, whether that being about creating life, immortality, and here, with The Last Man, the post-apocalyptic. Reading an 19th century romantic writer's perspective of isolation, survival and impending doom heightened the poetic and moral themes that were dominant for the time of writing, however, the book remains relatable now. Matt Bates was a pretty good narrator, and the story did tend to linger on at times of trivial aspects, but that might just be a modern readers perspective on 1800s writing. If you loved Frankenstein, romantic literature, or post-apocalyptic books take a listen to an early interpretation of it.
