Geralt is a Witcher, a man whose magic powers, enhanced by long training and a mysterious elixir, have made him a brilliant fighter and a merciless hunter. Yet he is no ordinary killer. His sole purpose: to destroy the monsters that plague the world.
But not everything monstrous-looking is evil and not everything fair is good . . . and in every fairy tale there is a grain of truth.

The story was a lot of fun. I can see why a show was made from it and why a videogame was made from it. I look forward to the next book!

The narrator, Peter Kenny, was great, especially at voicing non-human characters.
UPDATE: I found that the final novel in the series to be the weakest. While I gave this book an overall rating of 4 stars, I don’t recommend reading the entire series. Consider just reading the short stories (this book and the next one, Sword of Destiny). The final novel ruined the series for me.
Feels like a Better Written Conan Novel
