Radio Drama Style, not a true reading, still love it!
I love a good radio drama style audiobook. It keeps things interesting and changing the type of media I digest holds my attention better. If you want a true, direct reading of the books, this ain’t for you but if you want a classic radio drama with first class voice acting, it absolutely is.
Fun fact: the actor who played Frodo in this series went on to play Bilbo in the LOTR movies.

Remember it's likely best to destroy the ring of power in your own life. There's some weird piano near the end.

Best way to ‘read’ the series
Loved it!! Felt like I was listening to a live play performance. Definitely a better way to read the series #Audible1

Botched the best part of the series
overall same as the prior entries, battles can be a bit weird- when they shout and scream is a bit eargreating. Perhaps a product of their time, they used much singing and choirs- such as the Rohirrim charge and the Battle of Pelennor Fields was narrated by an opera style vocalist with snippets of dialogue between verses- which in my opinion possess the best lines written in the entire series.

this isnt the audio book
this isnt the audio book. i used my credit on it thinking it waa. huge disapointment. dont get fooled like i did.
its a recreation from the bbc.
im here fkr tolkin. not this. and preferably a nice production instead of the boring style we currently have
