À propos de cet audio
Parents, teachers, therapists, and anyone who cares about a child or teen on the autism spectrum needs this essential roadmap to prepare our youth for being successful adults in today's world. Best-selling author, autism advocate, and animal science professor Dr. Temple Grandin joins psychologist and autism specialist Dr. Debra Moore in spelling out the steps you can take to restore your child's hope and motivation, and what you must avoid. Eight life stories told by people on the autism spectrum, including chapters on subjects such as how to get kids off their computers, how to build on their strengths and get back to caring about their lives, and how to find a path to a successful, meaningful life make this a must-hear audiobook.

Inspiring!
There are so many things I never considered when it comes to the amount of work needed to bring about restoration after stroke. I tried placing myself in Katherine's shoes, & all I can say is praise God for the grace He delivers to this couple to keep pressing forward in their life journey, even though none of it looks like they once believed it would be. The perspective they have chosen to accept is both inspiring & beautiful. I have learned very much, & I look forward to their next book! God bless this family & continue to restore Katherine's body to the design & purpose it was created for, & according to His Word - in Jesus name! Amen!

Intelligent!
This is a very interesting and encouraging read! The narrator is dry though and could vary her voice more.

Great information and lifestyle instructional encouragements.
This book is what I was looking for. It provided me with not only the information to help me better understand what is going on in the autistic minds, but also the loving push of how to support the ones I love and care for. Thanks for this book, it helps.

Too long and too many stories
There is a bit of helpful advice but it gets very repetetive. I struggled to finish this book. There's not enough practical information and too many stories. Geared towards kids who have Asperger's and not much advice on how to help kids with more severe forms of autism. I love Temple Grandin and the idea of the loving push but the book could have been much shorter.
