À propos de cet audio
Nasty weather has put Goldy's catering schedule on the skids for weeks. Now, happy to be working again, she looks forward to whipping up a sumptuous dinner for two wealthy clients who are celebrating their new venture - the reopening of the Eurydice Gold Mine. But when one of the men disappears, and her best friend is accused of murder, Goldy must find out who has turned the feast into a fiasco.
Davidson's spirited characters and narrator Barbara Rosenblat's irresistible voice create a combination that has just the right touches of humor, danger, and suspense. And all of Goldy's tantalizing recipes are included at the conclusion of The Main Corpse. You'll find tasty dishes like Tomato-Brie Pie and Chocoholic Cookies. There's even a treat for four-footed gourmets: Jake's Dog Biscuits.

Awesome book, but that kid! Yikes!
I'm a huge fan of the Goldy Bear series. The titular character is spunky, the plots are interesting & original and there are some good recipes included. This is one of the first culinary mystery series that were published and in my opinion one of the best.
There are 19 or so books about Goldy Bear, so if you enjoy one there are lots more to read. The books also read well as stand alone novels, so if you don't feel like reading the whole series or reading all the books in order it's no big whoop.
My one gripe is the heroine's son. I have no idea why the author chose to write the character this way, but this kid is too much. Mouthy, obnoxious and defiant, his mother (our heroine) lets him walk all over her. For a character like Goldy - who's overcome spousal abuse - to allow her son to take advantage of her this way just doesn't make sense. But... I've read the whole series and without giving any plot lines away, he does get better as time goes on.
Aside from that small irritation it's a great listen.
