Set in a near-future world, Liam did not think that answering a help wanted online ad as a post-college job would land him in the center of a cartel drug ring. His role as experience maker for a lucid-dreaming drug called Zephyr, the former military drug that replaces virtual reality in the future, leads him to his girlfriend Joelle, a Ukrainian model. When she discovers that their escapades were made into a blockbuster drug the cartel has profited on, she is furious. However, leaving a cartel is never easy, especially if you are bringing in billions of dollars in revenue.
Forced to figure out an escape from the cartel together, Liam and Joelle have to be one step ahead of the cartel. Society is obsessed with Zephyr as almost any experience from the sensational to the absurd (child birth) is possible. Just hope you are never forced to take the torture version of the drug as there is unbearable pain with no way out. No celebrity is safe as their valuable blood is hunted by cartel hit men looking to capture the celeb's latest experience.
In the spirit of novels by Michael Crichton and Neal Stephenson, The Market is fast-paced thriller that will keep you listening!
