À propos de cet audio
Published in 1894 by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, The Memoirs of Sherlock Holmes is a collection of 11 different stories that center on the beloved character of Sherlock Holmes. The first of these stories is entitled "Silver Blaze", and chronicles Sherlock Holmes' attempts to not only track down a race horse who has disappeared, but to find out who has murdered the horse's trainer. As the stories progress, the details of various cases become more and more suspenseful, and Sherlock Holmes is called upon many times to investigate various crimes and mysterious occurrences.
About halfway through the series, the famed Dr. Watson appears to help Sherlock Holmes in some of his crime-stopping and investigation efforts. Together, the two of them tackle theft, murder, and deception to create a truly unique series of tales. The culminating tale, which is appropriately entitled "The Final Problem", sees Sherlock Holmes having to avoid a variety of murder attempts on his life, as he comes practically face to face with his archnemesis Moriarty. In classic Sherlock Holmes fashion, the crime stopper then turns around and tries to bring justice to the situation, which will avenge all of the murder attempts and the threats that the man brought against him.
