As they delve into the life of Esther's murdered husband, they discover that his ostentatious Puritanism hid a deeply sinister secret life, and that far too often tyranny and treason go hand in hand.

great historical fiction read. Love a good mystery

this story is emotional, funny and you will fall in love with the characters. the protagonist shows so much growth over the entire series it is a satisfying read. the mystery keeps you wondering till the very end who done it! haha
