A great book ruined by a terrible performance.

This is a great book, but the narrator did a terrible job. He seemed disconected from the text. Every sentence was a declaration (all punctuation was seemingly replaced with exclamation points!). There was no subtlety to his reading. It just seemed like a technical excersize for the narrator who strung together a series of words and sentences until it was finished. It was only my love of the book and author that got me to slog through it (although, its worth noting it became easier to listen to at 2x speed).
