À propos de cet audio
Imagine a year without spending - or even touching - money. Former businessman Mark Boyle did just that and here is his extraordinary story. Going back to basics and following his own strict rules, Mark learned ingenious ways to eliminate his bills and discovered that good friends are all the riches you need.
Encountering seasonal foods, solar panels, skill-swapping schemes, cuttlefish toothpaste, compost toilets, and - the unthinkable - a cash-free Christmas, Boyle puts the fun into frugality and offers some great tips for economical (and environmentally friendly) living. A testament to Mark's astounding determination, this witty and heart-warming book will make you re-evaluate your relationship to your wallet.

Changed my life
Curious how a man could possibly live a year without money, I chose this book to listen to on a long road trip. I normally listen to a chapter or two and switch book. Not so "The Moneyless Man". I listened to the entire book in one trip. It wasn't what I had imagined at all. Boyle is articulate, funny, thoughtful, and caring. He wants more out of life, as we all do. He wanted off this hamster wheel of modern, capitalist driven life as many of us do and he found a way. Although I'm not yet going to jump off the wheel altogether, I am certainly re-evaluating many areas of my life to find deeper meaning and to help steward our planet. Boyle's walking the walk of environmental stewardship and in the process teaching his readers ways they can make a difference, too. I have suggested this book to so many friends and will suggest it to anyone out there who knows there is more to life than what 21st century Western culture of consumerism and rabid consumption currently offers.
