if it were only this easy

while a decent book overall it repeated what do many of these books say. change the way you think change the way you move. the trouble is some of us are broken beyond this and just once I would like a book that had different approaches.

A True Book of Hope

This is the best self help book I’ve ever read. It is not one of those page-filler types that say the same obvious thing over and over. In fact, I had to listen to several passages again to feel I’ve truly grasped some of the concepts. It’s science based but in layman’s terms and early every chapter had an “aha!” moment for me. I’ve learned so much and I know it’s real because the outcome of every other method I’ve used to deal with my pain (and I’ve done the all) has turned out exactly as she described. Exactly!
I had already begun daily routine of primarily stretching with a couple of cherry-picked somatic moves sprinkled in but I realize now why that wasn’t working. I need to re-train my entire broken and bent body with a full Somatic routine. I’ve already put in the time. Now I’m going to do it right. I feel so ready and energized to begin this journey in earnest and truly believe that I can get my life back.
