À propos de cet audio
This 2-in-1 box set collects both installments in Liv Zander's Pale Court duet: King of Flesh and Bone and Queen of Rot and Pain. This duology is a dark-fantasy romance featuring a ruthless man, a woman who can't escape his love, and a Happily Ever After.
This world contains dark themes, violence, loss, and elements of horror some may find disturbing. What this book doesn't contain is a hero—because villains do it better.

A Dark and Captivating Fantasy!
Liv Zander’s The Pale Court Duet is an enthralling journey into a dark, enchanting world. The characters are complex and relatable, and the plot is filled with suspense and unexpected twists. Zander’s writing is evocative, and the narrator’s performance on Audible enhances the experience beautifully. A must-listen for dark fantasy fans. Highly recommended!

A delightful surprise!
I crushed through both of these books! Couldn’t stop listening! And when I had it was all i thought about. This is a great series and I’m so glad I stumbled upon it!
However! As much as I loved the narration, especially the female voice, It felt sort of jarring when Ada/Enosh would speak the other ones part in their narrative rather than the voice actor who plays their part.
I’m not big on zombies or undead, but this series was tastefully done in a manner that I didn’t mind it at all. These are dark, but not in the sense of it being “dark”…. it’s just has a gloomy atmosphere given that the whole setting of the story is build around the dead. But I didn’t really feel it weighing down the story, as you’re being driven by this story of desire, loyalty, trust and ultimately love. Also the fact that the mfc doesnt seem to care for the gore that is always surrounding her is just one more reason the mmc loves her. The mcs had wondeful arcs! And you felt for them at every new problem. The world building is also good! I love these books!
Yes, Enosh is a morally grey character, but I wouldn’t place him very deep on that scale at all. If you’ve read the likes of Haunting Adeline or That Sik Luv & liked these books, Enosh & Ada’s acts will feel quite vanilla to you.
For people who don’t read a lot of dark romance the first book may be too much, as he does “twist” her legs on more than one occasion. He also chains her up, forces her mouth shut, and at one time does start to burry her alive out of pure anger. Questionable rape on both sides happens as well as a ton of gore… because the whole undead thing.
