À propos de cet audio

A dream vacation turns deadly when secrets from the past catch up to a married couple in Paris in this new edge-of-your-seat thriller from USA Today bestselling author, Kimberly Belle.

When Stella met Adam, she thought she had finally found a nice, normal guy—a welcome change from her previous boyfriend and her precarious jetsetter lifestyle with him. But her secure world comes crashing down when Adam goes missing after an explosion in the city square. Unable to reach him, she panics.

As the French police investigate, it’s revealed that Adam was on their radar as a dealer of rare and stolen antiquities with a long roster of criminal clients. Reeling from this news, Stella is determined not to leave Paris until she has the full story. Was Adam a random victim or the target of the explosion? And why is someone following her through the streets of Paris?

An irresistible, fast-paced listen set in some of Europe’s most inviting locales, The Paris Widow explores how sinister secrets of the past stay with us—no matter how far we travel.

Historical facts were interesting. Did not love the story line tho the voice narration was very difficult to listen to.. maybe a different narrator?

Narration was tough to listen to…

I forced myself to chapter 12 and had to shut it off - Marni Penning (sorry Marni) is a terrible narrator.

Disappointing

I really wish narrator Marni Penning and/or her producer had chosen to play her role in a different way. The story and its subject matter is interesting. I tried to get what I could of it from the male narrator, Patrick Zeller, because I couldn't bear to listen to Penning weeping. As far as I could tell, she cries or is on the verge of crying throughout her dialogue in every chapter from beginning to end, I found myself listening to as much as I could get of the story from Zeller's sections, and fast forwarding through Penning's. I found it really off-putting, and far too much work for the listener to do for a simple piece of fiction. I suppose if I'm motivated enough, I might read the ebook, but after wading through this mess, I doubt I will.

Poor production choices; too much weeping.
