I have read little about this area of the world so much came as news to me. While I am aware of news broadcasts about the dreadful loss of life as people drowned in poorly equipped I had not heard of any personal accounts. This young man left his family behind to make his way to a better life in Europe . In the process he suffered greatly. Because he was a pianist of some credit he was able to play concerts and become known.He provided a touching tale of learning how to play the piano at his fathers behest. That in itself was an interesting tale. You see his father was blind.
