In plain yet powerful and moving language, Bunyan tells the story of Christian's struggle to attain salvation and the Gates of Heaven. He must pass through the Slough of Despond, ward off the temptations of Vanity Fair, and fight the monstrous Apollyon. In Part II, his wife and children follow the same path, helped and protected by Great-heart, until for them, too, "the trumpets sound on the other side."

seriously the best version I have ever listened to. this is probably listen number 9. such good soul food! David Shaw Parker is without a doubt the best narrator I have ever had the pleasure of listening to. he makes this old book spring to life

Best book I have
Loved listening and always had a hard time putting it down. Narrator was excellent. Thankful for this work, it has greatly blessed me. Every Christian should indeed read Pilgrim's Progress once a year.

A classic true and true
I love the story and the old English used by John Bunyan. The narrator as well was quite engaging for the several accents given to certain characters. personally I felt the narration was a bit slow so I listened to it at X1.25 speed.

In Conflict Lay
Part 1 deserves 5 stars, Narrator deserves 5 stars, Part 2 deserves 1 star. Part 2, being after all, a marked blemish, bringing into disrepute that which was at the first, and thereby with such abuse of virtue, doth sorely disparage the whole. Wish i could give 5 overall, but cant.
