My daughter and I enjoyed this one, too! It is a bit darker than the first, but it is performed in a way that doesn't feel too heavy for younger listeners. There is still plenty of hope in the story, and interesting characters. Some good Biblical themes for children without being too obvious. Good twists and turns to the plot.
We recommend it along with the first in the series, 'The Dragon and the Stone'. We are on 'Lost in the Caverns' now.
