Good story, but no ending.
I liked the story. But there was nothing to put the series to bed. No ending at all.

The narrator's mispronunciation of common words, phrases and proper names can be distracting.
The story becomes stale with the constant and unending barrage of nightmare situations our protagonists are faced with. Maybe throw in something fun and happy just to change it up and keep the reader off balance.

SO-SO Series
This series of books was certainly not the best series I have listened to. It passed the time with some parts entertaining. The narrator was just terrible. If you have a good imagination you could separate the characters but not by their voices. I had to turn the speed down by a notch as it was to fast at times and hard to understand. The story itself is ok but the overall series was ruined by the narration. I got through the series but it wasn't the type of book you would look forward to listening to every day.

Buffy meets Walking Dead
Good story line, well narrated and in spots funny. I would be nitpicking if I mention any negatives. It was a fine purchase/read/listen.

Disappointing
The characters are great in this series. The not so great part is the story. First off there are only 2 people that are capable. Everyone else is useless, needs to be told what to do and would miss if they tried to shoot the ground. Secondly there are some huge plot holes of the author's own making. The most glaring hole is the fact that the ghouls a so vulnerable to sunlight that the almost instantly disintegrate. The protagonists also discover that grow lamps do the same thing because they simulate sunlight. Right after discovering this they immediately leave hundreds of grow lamps behind and never look back. They don't wire some into their vehicles or use them to defend their nighttime safe house. They also know exactly which buildings are infested and not once during the day do they go and get an excavator or other piece of heavy equipment and peel back the rooves to let the sun do it's thing. They could eradicate the infected easily.

What a pile of monkey turd
This author sucks. Story is idiotic.... 2 of his characters are like a less funny Laurel and Hardy... yet alleged hard-core military door kickers.
Don't buy it..... you'll be smarter in the end for never hearing it.
