What a RIDE!
Fair Catch ⭐️⭐️⭐️
After seeing a bookstagram post about False Start, I decided to listen to the series and was glad I did. Zeke and Gavin are best friends whose lives changed after a drunk driving accident left Gavin paralyzed and ended his football career. Zeke was driving, but both had been drinking. Gavin makes his twin, Riley, promise to try out for the team. While I understand Riley's anger towards Zeke, her hostility seemed excessive. Despite this, I loved Zeke's loyalty to Gavin and his feelings for Riley. The story was compelling once the conflict was resolved, and the narration by Chris and Hannah was excellent.
Blind Side ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5
I loved Glana and her strength. She's not just a shy bookworm, but also mighty when needed. Clay is sweet and loyal, studying her books to be the best boyfriend. The team and side characters were well-developed. Though I didn't like parents taking advantage of adult children, Edward and Miranda's narration was lovely and would love more from them.
Quarterback Sneak ⭐️⭐️.5
This was my least favorite because of the coach's treatment of Holden, and Julep needed to stand up more. The romance didn't feel forbidden enough and the story was very dark. Amy's narration didn't suit the character, though I would listen to her again. Edward was great as Holden.
Hail Mary ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This book pleasantly surprised me. I love second-chance romances, and this one was fantastic!
Initially, I worried about Mary being the protagonist due to her cockiness in Quarterback Sneak. However, the story's plot of childhood friends turned enemies, then lovers, was executed perfectly. Mary's strength and resilience, coupled with her openness to Leo, made their chemistry palpable. The guys rallying around Mary was a lovely touch.
The narration was flawless.
Now, I'm excited to dive into False Start, the book that inspired me to read these first.
False Start ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This book is the reason I picked up this series after seeing an Instagram post about it. I enjoyed every book, but this one is my favorite.
Despite disliking Kyle in the other books, his full story won me over. Madelyn's journey as a single mom reconnecting with Kyle was heartwarming. Their romance was swoon-worthy, and I felt protective of them.
Including past couples tied the book to the rest of the series. The narration was perfect for these characters, and I hope to hear more from this team.

Props to Kandi
I loved each and every one of these books. I'm not even sure I could tell you which one is my favourite. Each of these stories was incredibly unique while still evoking such strong emotion from the reader/listener.
That said, I give Kandi Steiner so much props for truly doing it herself on her journey as an author. If I remember correctly, she is self taught and edited this audiobook series entirely on her own. There were definitely some minor editing issues, but they were easy to overlook knowing that Kandi did it all herself.
