There might be a good book here...

The book provides some thought provoking concepts but if you haven't experienced them before it can be difficult to apply it.

An example is a chapter starts with a quote about reasoning from first principles and 3 core principles are given. Why these are the 3 first principles of a regenerative business are not clearly stated. I often found myself asking if 2 of the 3 are really the first principles as the book went on.

Another challenge is the book doesn't give examples of hard situations. If you establish a self-direction and self awareness as key facets for people, how do you deal with people who are not self aware that something they are doing is very destructive to them or the company? The answer is hinted at, but some solid examples around difficult scenarios would really help those who have not experienced a "regenerative business" to really understand how it could look like in real life.

Finally, the wording of the book is extremely business jargon heavy. If you are not used to that it can take some effort to cut through that and understand what is being said.

I think there is a really great book in here, but the material needs to be presented differently.
