Opal is a gleaming shrine world of saints and soldiers, beloved of the Emperor Himself. Sent to retrieve the skull of the revered Saint Veres, Sister Superior Augusta of the Order of the Bloody Rose and her squad find themselves in the midst of the capital’s holiest festival, a time of reverence and celebration. But all is not well – despite what its planetary leaders would have Augusta believe, political danger bubbles under the surface, and rebel attacks gnaw away at the city’s outskirts. The greatest threat, however, is yet to come.

With her mighty wings spread wide and Ardent Blade aflame, Saint Celestine is the living embodiment of the God-Emperor’s wrath. Her halo blazes like a star upon the smog-wreathed, blood-soaked battlefields of the 41st Millennium; its holy light leading the faithful to victory time and time again. As heretics and daemons tear at her flesh, she calls down fires of retribution from on high to smite the wicked and unrighteous. If she is to fall in battle, none should mourn as she is Celestine, the Living Saint, and death is her duty.

The Sisters of Battle are the Emperor's most devout worshippers, fierce warriors preaching the purity of the Imperium and scourging their enemies with bolter and flamer. Now, a mission of the Sisterhood has returned to reconsecrate the site - but the metallic nightmares still lurk in the darkness, guarding a secret that has lain dormant for millennia.

Once heir to the throne of a dynasty, he now commands nothing but a dwindling garrison of warriors, in a never-ending struggle against Ork invaders. Some inconsistencies but nice overall.
The writing is nice and the acting is in par. But there are some inconsistencies and unresolved questions. And juuuust a tiny but of plot armour...
Spoilers
Why is that one ork purple?
Even if it's just a small Necron force, how could a single squad of Sororitas handle a Necron force with Wraiths when even Space Marines struggle and die a lot more, even more so with a FLAMER?
What happened to the rest of the Da Big Mouff story? Does it really just end in the middle of the raid? I get they killed most of the orks, and o ly needed to find the relic, but it seemed that Da Loota with Da Best Shoota would have done something, no?
Otherwise, pretty well written.
