Tessa’s voice kept changing from normal to almost the same as the princess dowager. Almost made me give up.

I wasn’t crazy about the male narrating the females parts at time. But, I pushed past it as it was a fun , and charming story. I’ve already downloaded the next two in the series.

Loved this romcom

Liked the set up of the book, how it flips back and forth in perspective of the main characters.
Didn’t love how the male narration voiced the female characters. It came off as if he was mocking the female characters with his “female voice” which led me to see the male character in a non-flattering light. The female perspective felt soft and authentic, whereas the male narration had me questioning the motive of his characters.
Open to listening to the other books as I enjoyed the storyline.
