good start

MC is a little contradictory - can behave and talks maturely or childishly at different times (not consistent). While being immature matches his age of 18, I'm not a fan of this style at all. Another issue is the "best friend" relationship doesn't sound natural at all. It's like the the author is forcing it to be platonic to prove some point.
Other than this, the world-building, skills and progression are pretty exicting.
