good book
the story is good. the narrator on the other hand made it hard to get through this book. he almost made me skip this book in the series

Scions of Shannara
Definitely a different atmosphere then the original Shannara trilogy. This book has elements of a thriller/mystery. Really enjoyed the more intense narrative.

more depressing than entertaining
the heritage of shannara was a rather annoying read at times. It was darker and less fun than the first trilogy. A lot of the characters in this series were also less fun.
