À propos de cet audio
The shadow of dread has fallen. Beneath it, all men quail.
The Great Calamity has returned, destroying all in his wake. Reeling from the destruction of King's Point and the death of his uncle, Elyon Daecar makes at once for Varinar to discern the state of the city. What he finds gives him small cause for hope. Through the spreading darkness, thin shards of light remain. They must act quickly lest they close forever.
Saska's time in Aram has run out. With the city safe from the coalition of Lords Krator and Kastor, she sets her sights on her journey north, bidding her dying grandmother farewell. She has no choice now but to embrace her fate and harden her heart to her purpose. In a world falling to ruin, she will need all the help she can get. Friends old and new will be there to give it, not always in ways she wants.
Freed from the grip of the Nightblade at last, Jonik sets out in the service of a new master. His fate as foreseen by the Far-Seeing Queen has been met, yet a new destiny awaits him. One that will take him to places he never knew existed.
The weather of the world is changing. To both north and south, cataclysmic events are unfolding across land and sea. In this dying world, kings are made, princes tested, and exiles fight to restore their honor. Ancients rise, creatures swarm, men whisper of the waking of titans…
And in the heart of Agarath, a demigod broods, spreading forth the dark will of his master.

Dragons Riders: The last noble warriors in the realm. Only heroes can embolden the ordinary. For centuries, millennia, the Dragon Riders galvanized generation after generation, adding Riders to their ranks and birthing dragons from their eggs. But there are no more heroes. War with the Andarens is like nothing the Riders, nor the armies of Erador, have ever faced. In the place of heroes, there are only soldiers now. Fodder for the machine of war. This time of twilight is set to be the crowning hour of the dark when the light is losing its grip.

Histoire
Minalan gave up a promising career as a professional warmage to live the quiet life of a village spellmonger in the remote mountain valley of Boval. It was a peaceful, beautiful little fief, far from the dangerous feudal petty squabbles of the Five Duchies, on the world of Callidore. There were cows. Lots of cows. And cheese. For six months things went well: He found a quaint little shop, he befriended the local lord, the village folk loved him, he found a sharp young apprentice to help out, and, best yet, he met a comely young widow with the prettiest eyes.

After the old gods warred and drove themselves to extinction, the cataclysm of their fall shattered the land of Vigrio. Now, power-hungry jarls carve out petty kingdoms, and monsters stalk the shadow-haunted woods and mountains. A world where the bones of the dead gods still hold great power, promising fame, and fortune for those brave - or desperate - enough to seek them out. As whispers of war echo over the plains and across the fjords, fate follows the footsteps of three people. All three will shape the fate of the world, as it once more teeters on the edge of chaos.

Now, however, one has been found by the unlikeliest of wielders: Sampson Gaard, a blind but ambitious prince with something to prove. Excellent, Exciting, 40 hours is too short!
Great penultimate book in the series. It must be extremely challenging to keep each story, and plot lines relevant in the authors head because there are just so so many! I couldn't do it. Just amazing work. The final scene in the book, absolutely over the top amazing. And now that I think of it, every final chapter for each character in the book was excellent, very fulfilling despite not being the end. Cant wait for the final book in 2025.
Minor criticisms that I am sure other may notice when comparing this to other books.
The narration has a few noticeable errors in the words. I don't remember any from previous books standing out to me, But there were a few this time that suck with me. This may have been more rushed compared to others, I am not sure.
Pacing in this book was harder to follow compared to others, but not enough to take away from the story. Timelines would occasionally skip ahead farther that I was expecting, which made it hard to get my bearings on what was happening. You essentially need to connect the dots from several chapters earlier to get there.
Ex. We march to fight! 4 chapters later (covering other plot lines), Someone wakes up in a battlefield,
Its very reasonable to need to move through the story without making 10 books (although I kind of wish maybe there would be 10 :D)
Overall I loved it, I can't imagine how anyone finishing book 5 would not want to finish this one as well. And nearly 40 hours, is amazing value for any credits you are using.
Last note: The variety and interesting words used by the author are amazing. I have learned lots of interesting words listening to this book.
