À propos de cet audio

A SHIVERING OF WORLDS

Deep in the Chalk, something is stirring. The owls and the foxes can sense it, and Tiffany Aching feels it in her boots. An old enemy is gathering strength.

This is a time of endings and beginnings, old friends and new, a blurring of edges and a shifting of power. Now Tiffany stands between the light and the dark, the good and the bad.

As the fairy horde prepares for invasion, Tiffany must summon all the witches to stand with her. To protect the land. Her land.

There will be a reckoning . . .

I've been reading Terry's books for over close to 30 years and this was a wonderful summary for some of the storylines it's hard at the end but fitting.

a fine ending for our beloved story

Abridgement removed DEATH from the story. This does not improve the story but leaves it feeling rather incomplete. The original is much better.

Not equal to the original.

Pratchett's final novel is a novel, but it is devoid of Pratchett. The book includes the names of familiar characters doing things in familiar places. What is missing throughout is him. There is no wry wit, there are no wise observations. Death does not appear in the book, but looms, nevertheless.

sometimes it's best to leave things unfinished
