À propos de cet audio
How do we live a healthy life and lead others into spiritual, emotional, and relational health and wholeness?
That is the focus of this book.
Trying to help others find freedom and wholeness is draining work. What do we do to become healthy and maintain our well-being? What are the practices and rhythms we need to engage in to be effective Soul Care practitioners? How do we create a culture where life-change flourishes? How do we minister in the power of the Spirit so that we can lead others into breakthroughs?
Too often people are talking about the same problems that they were talking about several years ago but they aren’t finding a path to freedom. We need to help people get to the roots and not merely manage their dysfunction and sin. These are the questions and topics that this book will seek to equip you in as you seek to live and lead people into freedom and fullness in Christ.

Brokenness grasps for the soul of humanity. We are broken body, soul, and spirit, and we need the healing touch of Jesus. Soul Care explores seven principles that are profound healing tools of God: Securing your identity, repentance, breaking family sin patterns, forgiving others, healing wounds, overcoming fears, and deliverance.

Today, we are becoming more like the spiritual climate in the first century than like 1950 America. In a pluralistic, syncretistic society where all deities are considered equal, only the unequal display of Jesus’ power will convince people of the supremacy of Christ. This book takes an in-depth look at how we can grow in identity, intimacy, and faith so that we can develop our authority and release the kingdom.

The world is a broken place marred by evil, and evil’s influence impacts us all. It is often difficult for people to grasp what God is like in a world such as ours. Jesus shows us the heart of God in a world of heartache. He is the most beautiful, compelling, tender person who has lived.

Did you ever wish there was more to your Christian life? Too often the Christian life is reduced to going to church, attending meetings, serving God, and doing devotions. But Jesus promised us abundant life - a deep, intimate, satisfying connection with the living God. How do we access the abundant life that Jesus promised? The key is the presence and life of the holy spirit within us. Jesus said that the spirit of God flows within us like a river - he is the river of life. But we need to dwell in the river in order to access the spirit’s fullness.

Histoire
There is nothing like a crisis to reveal the cracks in the walls of our soul. But God promises to redeem all things that come into our lives to make us more like Jesus. We are experiencing a unique crisis in our day and age, COVID-19. It has created fear, death, and will leave economic disaster in its wake. In this book, I don’t just want to talk about how we can survive this crisis, or how we can access the peace of God in tumultuous times. I want to talk about how God can redeem a crisis in our personal lives to take us deeper into maturity and intimacy with Christ.

One of the problems with being a Christ follower is that we can substitute religious expressions and religious behaviors for authentic experiences and encounters without even know we are doing it. The longer we go to church the more we know the right words to say and the right things to do, but we can easily say those words and do those things without transformational intimacy with Jesus? We can start with significant, transformational encounters with God, and end up with dusty old religion.

Most Practical
I prefer books that carry the annointing a little bit heavier, that make little sense in my head, that make me feel like, “why is God so weighty on this?”. I like the senseless southern baptist Holy Ghost disturbance levels. This book had only a few of those moments for me, maybe 4-7. So not throughout. It felt a little academic in that way, or like it was edited by an academic. I’m sure God will still use that for others. BUT I am near the end of a spiritual school that reads many practical spirituality books, and THIS has had the most numerous practical stories and insights of everything else in my 3 year curriculum, short of maybe 2-3 other books out of 3. So being an outside curriculum book I picked up, great read. Highly recommend. Makes me feel like some of those other books were a bit of wasted time (no offense to other authors).
