À propos de cet audio
The Stranger in My Home is the utterly compelling new contemporary novel from Adele Parks, Sunday Times best-selling author of The State We're In, sure to move, grip and delight her fans along with readers of Liane Moriarty, Jane Shemilt and Lisa Jewell.
When you have everything you dreamed of, there is everything to lose.
Alison is lucky, and she knows it. She has the life she always craved, including a happy home with Jeff and their brilliant, vivacious teenage daughter, Katherine - the absolute centre of Alison's world. Then a knock at the door ends life as they know it.
Fifteen years ago someone else took Alison's baby from the hospital. And now Alison is facing the unthinkable. Her daughter belongs to someone else. What would you do if you discovered your beloved child is not yours?

So Irritating…… not her best
This is my first poor review I had ever written but I’m so disappointed. I want to say that I have loved all of Adele Parks books except this one. The main character acts and talks like she is 80 years old. This is a fault by both the author and narrator. The narrators voice is also that of a much older woman (or a smoker-or both) and it drove me crazy. It just doesn’t make sense. Because I usually love Adele’s novels I forced myself to finish this but felt irritated throughout. Like nails down a chalkboard. I couldn’t relate to the main character in any way. She was smug, overbearing, defensive and I felt sorry for the husband. She reminded me of a prude, privileged and judgemental old lady sitting at the front of a church glaring at any child who made a peep. The story was also far fetched and unbelievable. I didn’t like anything about this book.
Skip this one and get “I invited her in”, “Lies,Lies,Lies” or “Just My Luck” .
