À propos de cet audio
Mr. Bennet is dying. Can Elizabeth and her sisters find success and love in the midst of upheaval and sorrow?
An urgent letter calls Elizabeth and Jane Bennet back to Longbourn from London. Mr. Bennet is dying, though Mrs. Bennet refuses to believe the terrible truth of his imminent demise. The master of Longbourn rests in the knowledge that his talented daughters will sustain the family when he passes.
The nearby estate of Netherfield has been leased to a wealthy single man by the name of Mr. Bingley. He finds himself infatuated with the eldest Miss Bennet, but Jane is tired of men admiring only her looks.
Mr. Darcy of Pemberley is weary from his burdens as master of Pemberley and guardian to Georgiana. Darcy’s attention is drawn to the tantalizing Miss Elizabeth of Longbourn, but his desire wars with his sense of responsibility.

Histoire
For twenty years Elizabeth Bennet had lived, quite contentedly, as the second daughter of a country squire. During her Easter visit to her newly married friend, Lizzy has the dubious pleasure of being introduced to Lady Catherine de Bourgh and her cosseted daughter. To Elizabeth’s surprise, the pair take a keen interest in a mere adopted daughter of the Bennet family, and when Mr. Darcy dutifully pays his annual visit to Rosings Park, her life takes a wholly unexpected turn.

Fitzwilliam Darcy has had enough—enough of the ton and their speculations, enough of matchmaking mamas and their eager daughters, and enough of his family’s expectations that he will eventually marry his cousin Anne. Craving solitude and peace after discovering his sister with George Wickham in Ramsgate, he accepts an invitation to visit Netherfield Park from his friend Charles Bingley and travels to Hertfordshire, where he hopes Georgiana will recover from her disappointment in relative privacy.

Love is not the simple thing that novels and poetry speak of. It is by turns subtle and overwhelming. It may slip silently into your heart, or strike like a bolt of lightning.
