Awesome

Confusing, Lack of Imagery
The narrator is excellent; however, I was frequently lost in the storyline and couldn’t seem to get much imagery from it. I’m surprised I made it all the way to the end.

Bit gruesome but overall good story
I found the narrator too much. Was overly “tough” constantly. It as a bit hard to get through

Loved the book
The story line was very good, hooked on it from the start. The narrator Scott Brick, my favorite narrator, would listen to him reading a cereal box!

Grim
I’m a huge fan of the Orphan X series and decided to try some early works of the talented Mr. Hurwitz. This was scary and gory and grim. Not a fan of that kind of book but still I finished. Excellent narration by Scott Brick as usual.

enjoyable

Excellent Psychological Thriller
This book was offered on sale. I am happy that I bought it. It's a quite violent story that reminded me of "Silence of the Lambs" and other modern cop stories. Hurwitz has an extremely descriptive writing style, like a screenplay with very visual aspects. Reading like a movie script, the reader can visualize perfectly what the author intends....perhaps overly descriptive at times (the shape of the tears falling from a character's eyes is probably not a necessary detail), but Hurwitz's intention is met perfectly. There are some fairly clever plot twists.
Scott Brick is perfect as a reader for this kind of story. Dramatic but not overly so. The guy would be perfect for King books.
Sit back, relax, and enjoy this solid 8 stars out of 10 offering.
