I felt like this story was good, but chopped up unnecessarily. I've come to realize that Sapkowski is terrible at time jumping. His stories always make unnecessary time jumps or are broken up awkwardly. SOMETIMES it's done well for a moment but then he abuses the trope to the point of confusion, especially since the same characters are featured in back to back scenes at different time periods. It actually gets frustrating as the audience member. The setup is good. I'm looking forward to seeing what Ciri has to contend with next and enjoyed her overcoming of several things (though I think she was awkwardly raped by a woman that later she likes...?) I'll continue reading on, but a few things jarred me enough to give this a moderate review.

Another great story. With all Witcher books, it's heavy on dialog and descriptions and tough to get through sometimes, but it always pays off and it's hard not to appreciate the weight of it.

Narration is fantastic and I've come to expect the voices of these characters.

The bookend version is great for creating atmosphere and ambience.

I found Dandillion being called dandilion (the flower/weed) distracting, otherwise this was consistently well.
