À propos de cet audio
Second Edition
Erik West is an ex-combat medic. He and his best friend, marine recon sniper Jimmy "Rugrat" Rodriguez, have been thrown into another world. They've become one of the "cursed". Now they have to figure out this fantasy world, where cultivation, skills, and abilities must be grown...or death awaits.
Ascension is just around the corner, whatever that means. But they'll need to master magic and temper their bodies to survive. In a world where your personal strength is your greatest value, Erik and Rugrat have to start from the bottom. But they've cut their teeth in conflicts all across Earth and honed their skills over years of training while creating a bond and upholding their honors and oaths.
It's not a question of if they are ready for the 10 realms, but instead are the 10 realms ready for them?
Get it now.

Legends speak of wizards with the power to rival Gods. To Hump, it’s just a story. Apprenticed to a wandering wizard, he grew up on the road, following the coin on whatever quest it took them. He always believed his master was just an ordinary hedge wizard, until the old man suddenly died, and his book of spells bound to Hump’s soul. Knowing no other life, Hump takes up his master’s staff and heads out alone into a world of dungeons and monsters. So begins the path of The Wanderer. The White Flame. The Hedge Wizard.

After dying and being reborn into a world that's built like a video game, Jim has found himself stuck in a very old-world style new-player zone for low-level adventurers. Unfortunately, the zone fell out of use centuries ago, and no one told the monsters they were supposed to take it easy on the Noobs. Even worse, the only new player around is Jim. Jim has been given an opportunity, and he'll do his best to take advantage of it.

Histoire
When the cultivators came to Earth, they destroyed our entire civilization in a matter of hours. Armies fell, cities burned, and that was before the moon turned red and filled our world with monsters. Now, over a decade later, what's left of humanity slaves under the heels of our Qi-infused masters. The luckiest of us might even become one of them, they say—if we serve the Dynasty well enough and harness the power of Qi. But I want none of that. I'm sick of serving, and I want nothing to do with their world. Instead, I want them to pay for what they did to mine.

The Founders were the first marked, and they used those powers to build kingdoms, subjugate the land, and enrich themselves. They will not suffer another to join their ranks. Lost in a world with levels, stats, and monsters, Hal fights to survive in an unforgiving land, and to escape execution from its rulers. Ingenuity and courage won’t be enough. With marked powers he doesn’t understand, he’s easy prey for all the goblins, bandits, aberrations, and foul monsters that plague the realm. In a world full of super powers, Felix has a pretty crappy one. He has the ability to modify any item he owns. To upgrade anything. Sounds great on paper. Almost like a video game. Except that the amount of power it takes to actually change, modify, or upgrade anything worthwhile is beyond his abilities. With that in mind, Felix settled into a normal life. A normal job. His entire world changes when the city he lives in is taken over by a super villain. Becoming a country of one city. A city state.

Histoire
When Alice Verianna went to sleep, she was just another teen from the Denver suburbs. She definitely didn't expect to be transported to a magical alternate dimension, inhabited by monsters and presided over by a mysterious System. Here, people resemble RPG characters and everyone has access to their own status screens. Grappling with the mechanics of the elusive System isn't the only challenge Alice faces. It seems an underground organization known as the Society of Starry Eyes has taken a particular interest in other dimensions.

Thanks for making another version
So I enjoyed Todd's narration for the first 5 books, but couldn't deal with the narrator switch. Starting from the beginning makes it much much easier to listen to Neil and I'm quite enjoying it. thanks for taking the time and effort to make another version :)

Overall a good intro
I like the concept of the story but as a different review stated, there isn’t any antagonist and the main characters seems to be op from the start.
Spoilers below
During the siege on the village they make a big deal about how the villagers aren’t gonna rout which was super cringe cause like no shit your not gonna rout, if you did you, your family and your friends would get eaten, so I feel that part was overly emphasized.

Great book and concept. Very enjoyable. Good characters.
I’ve enjoyed this book, glad I took a chance on it. I can tell already that barring a fall-off in writing quality, I’ll tear through this series quickly. Worthy read.
Only complaint is the Narration. I like the narrators voice, but he has a cadence with his voice on certain main characters where his voice rises and falls on a regular or at least sort of predictable basis. The result is a noticeable increase and decrease in his volume. That’s how I first interpreted it anyhow, then I realized that a number of voices he does, his cadence of rise and falling vocals causes his voice to go in and out of his resonant range. This has the effect of his voice getting louder and quieter.
In my truck with a 19 speaker sounds system and admittedly listening at 1.5x speed, it should be very clear…yet the effect becomes distracting, sounding almost like he’s turning his face away from the mic while talking, (even though I know he isn’t) the guy has an amazing voice, so I can’t help but think the recording levels need to be set up better to mitigate this on/off resonance effect to balance audio. You may find that at lower listening speeds it doesn’t affect you, this is a first for me, but I figured if the feedback helps then it’s worth it sharing (though I think I’m many years too late). I guess I’ll see how it turns out in the next book.

Great performance but writing has issues
Let me preface this by saying that I don’t necessarily feel cheated by purchasing this title however I won’t be continuing with book 2.
The book has multiple issues such as there being no real antagonist, no motivation for the protagonists (other than getting stronger just because), they don’t even really come across any real threats that they can’t simply overpower. Timing of events is hard to follow, it seems that they go from a nobody to godlike in six weeks or so?
Anyway, if you purchase this title, you’ll see what I mean. I wish the author well and the performance by the narrator was great, no issues there.

Starts great but falls flat
The story starts really nicely and the narrator id doing a great job but the more the story progresses the more it loses its appeal, by the fourth book it’s not even the same story, not really fantasy anymore and more like army dialog simulator.
So dont start this story thinking its a nice power isekai fantasy. If you like all the nits and grits of the everyday life of a sergent in the army that happened to be in an other fantasy universe, then this is for you.
