In the land of Utopia, the last remaining protector of the sacred birth stones lies on his deathbed surrounded by his two apprentices. The great wizard has reached the end of his journey and must pass on his responsibilities to someone who is worthy of them. Meanwhile on Earth, Lucas finds out his mother is killed in a car crash and he is taken to an orphanage where he meets four new friends of a similar age.
Both worlds are about to collide as the stones appear to the orphans and transport them to Utopia. The youngsters must find their way in a dark and mysterious world full of strange creatures and powerful magic. Individually, they battle armies, conquer elements, harness the powers of the stone and more importantly fight their inner demons. With the arrival of the orphans, they awaken creatures that have not been seen in Utopia for hundreds of years that cause everyone to choose between good and evil.
