À propos de cet audio
When best-selling author Carrie McClelland visits the windswept ruins of Slains Castle, she is enchanted by the stark and beautiful Scottish landscape. The area is strangely familiar to her but she puts aside her faint sense of unease to begin her new novel, using the castle as her setting, and one of her own ancestors, Sophia, as her heroine.
Then Carrie realizes her writing is taking on a life of its own and the lines between fact and fiction become increasingly blurred. As Sophia's memories draw Carrie more deeply into the intrigue of 1708, she discovers a captivating love story lost in time.
After 300 years, 'Sophia's Secret' must be told.

Interesting concept
I loved the characters in each timeline! The intertwining was potentially problematic but the author created continuing interest in all.

The Winter Sea.
I loved the book. It was an interesting twist for a time travel story. The attention to geographical detail was perfect.
The characters were intriguing and a cliffhanger at the end of the book leaving room for a follow up storyline.

An excellent story and very wel narrated
lThe narrator is exceptional. She does as a good job on a Canadian accent (I am Canadian) as she does with a British one. I actually looked her up to see which nationality she is. Her narration is flawless.
The story is intriguing. If you like history, you'll love this story for how it is portrayed.
I was as invested in the present-day heros as I was in their historical counterparts. It was interesting to hear what was happening between each timeline as the story progressed.
The story brings you through so many emotions. This story ranks in my top number ones. I was totally surprised with its ending ~ I just loved it. I recommend that you put this story on your must listen list if you like very well told stories with a historical background.

Stick With It
Some really good historical background and facts. Not exactly Outlander but does keep to the historical facts and in contrast to Outlander gives a different perspective on certain parallel stories. Maybe it was the narrator but I didn’t get into it as much though the story was intriguing. A bit slow at times but overall a good read

Narrator
Enjoyed the story, challenging to keep relationships straight. I enjoyed the male voices but did not warm ip to Rosalyn. Too snooty and accent was not appealing.
