good story
this really isnt a story about abuse so i dont know why its listed in that category i remember this book from a long time ago ....very good book i want to reach out and give him a hug for what he went thro good on him for making a dofference when he is a father and helps other children...

Waste of Time
As a survivor of real abuse, I found this story to be profoundly disappointing. Every chapter ends with an unrealistic twist meant to hook the reader into continuing, however there is no real insight offered, even at the end. It seems forced. The story is just a series of unfortunate circumstances (many seemingly contrived and unrealistic) that culminate in the most obvious resolution.
