À propos de cet audio
A Mass Murder. A Disappearance. A Cemetery Ransacked.
It looked like another ordinary day in Los Angeles. Then night came...Evil as old as the centuries has descended upon the City of Angels - it comes as a kiss from the terrifying but seductive immortals. Slowly at first, then by the legions, the ravenous undead choke Los Angeles with bloodthirsty determination - and the hordes of monstrous victims steadily mount each night.
High above glitter city a deadly contest begins. In the decaying castle of a long-dead screen idol, the few remaining human survivors prepare to face the Prince of Evil and his satanic disciples. Whilst the very forces of nature are called into play, isolating the city from the rest of the world and leaving it at the mercy of the blood-hungry vultures of the night...They Thirst

It is not just the living ships of the monstrous Gorgons or the motion-blurred shock troops of the armored Cyphers that endanger the holdouts in the human bastion of Panther Ridge. The world itself has turned against the handful of survivors, as one by one they succumb to despair and suicide or, even worse, are transformed by otherworldly pollution into hideous Gray Men, cannibalistic mutants driven by insatiable hunger.

Histoire
The red night of bells heralds global catastrophe. Annihilation on a biblical scale. Seeing the morning is no blessing. The handful of scattered survivors are confronted by blood-red skies and an infestation of predatory horrors that never originated on earth. An occupying force intent on erasing the remnants of animal life from the planet. Across the deserted landscapes of England, bereft of infrastructure and society, the overlooked can either hide or try to outrun the infernal hunting terrors. Until a rumour emerges claiming that the sea may offer an escape.

The Night Boat, Robert McCammon's third published novel, first appeared as a paperback original in 1980. Following on the heels of Baal and Bethany's Sin, it offered further proof that a writer of great narrative power and limitless potential - a writer who would achieve a significant position in modern popular fiction--had arrived.

Fantastic!!!
Great novel from a very diverse writer. I have been reading Robert R. McCammon miscellaneous novels outside his series. He definitely can write on a variety of subjects and create very interesting storylines. I have totally enjoyed his diversity and character development. Looking forward to whatever more this writer can produce!!!

Classic vampire tale. Pacing was perfect, no rushed character development. Stuck the landing as well. The author has some other great books like Swan Song and Stinger.

Excellent Vampire Novel
Wow, awesome vampire novel! I remember the title from when I was younger and though it is influenced by ‘Salem’s Lot, it is its own beast. One with lots of fangs. Solid characters and interesting villains, McCammon is a great writer! I loved Swan Song, and will read The Wolf’s Hour next. Highly recommend if you like horror and/or vampires. Really flows and hard to put it down.

Thrilling then and now.
This is one of Robert McCammon's early works from the 80's yet, all these decades later, it holds up.... in a low-tech sort of way. But age-old vampire horror knows no timeline as proven with They Thirst, as thrilling today as it was all those years ago. Of course, Ray Porter is, as usual, a brilliant narrator.
