À propos de cet audio
Who will you be with when everything falls apart?
Fourteen days after a coordinated attack on the 4th of July decimated the electrical grid, triggered earthquakes, and sent monstrous tsunamis inland, a father and daughter must escape Oregon and journey to safety.
However, with no power, communication lines down, and thousands of miles from Gatlinburg, Tennessee, Jackson and Zoe’s hope of being united with family means navigating a hostile country and facing off against the worst of society.
Meanwhile, nestled in the heart of the Great Smoky Mountains, surrounded by high ridges, Natalie faces backlash from the murderous incident at Grotto Falls. At the same time, the mountain town struggles to survive a series of mysterious home invasions.
As secrets unfold, allies form, and the dangers close in, will they stay alive long enough to reach home or be one of those who fall?
From International Bestselling Author Jack Hunt comes an addictive, on-the-edge-of-your-seat disaster thriller series about an ordinary family trying to stay alive.

Am I reading the same series?
I really liked the first book in which there were clear characters that we could follow, understand and sympathize with. There was also better portrayal of consequences as a result of a weapon that could create natural disasters. It's only day 14 when the second book starts, but we're already deep in social chaos and we no longer have the same well defined characters, but a bunch of new ones that are introduced abruptly and become more of an interference as the story goes on, especially in an audio book, things become harder to follow. There are some shifts in the main characters, such as Zoe, that are not very believeable considering it's been only 14 days since it all started. I think some people will like this book because it keeps up the pace of the action, and some might enjoy exploring the social chaos that it presents, but I feel like the author rushed into this scenario without a real transition, plus adding characters, especially new antagonists, could have been done better too.
