The different take on looking at the Titanic disaster through a series of events/inventions/histories that paved the way for both tragic and heroic outcomes for the doomed liner and her doomed passengers/crew was interesting enough to keep me listening, but there was just something about the narrator's voice that didn't engage me. I can't put my finger in it, but I think my enjoyment of the book was largely impacted by the narration.
