À propos de cet audio
Tone can be an elusive ingredient in any communication.
Misused or misplaced, it can destroy any sense of connection.
Tone is everywhere. It is the snapshot and snap judgment of a song, a look, or a feel.
It is also a snap shot of our voice.
In one tenth of a second, our speaking can make an impression. That's a very small window. This window sets the tone.
We’re going to explore how to use it.
Whether you want to close more sales, build deeper relationships, or just relax, this collection of anecdotes, techniques, and tips from Marshall Davis Jones will teach you:
- How intent affects our voice.
- How our voice affects our mental state and the state of your listener.
- How to listen to respond vs listening to react.
And more!
With Tonal Influence™, you will find a path to self-mastery through control of the world's most powerful instrument—your voice.

Chapters too small, fast and superficial to make an impact. If you get this book get the paperback.
The chapters are less than 2 minutes, each tip lacks depth, or sufficient enough explanations or examples. and are not categorized into batches of similar topics. The result? A book with a "Hundred" Useful that that you can't internalize, process or remember and therefore cannot use, by time you're trying to understand the topic the chapter is over and you are on to the next. I feel like paperback version of this book would be better and just to keep in your toillet. Go to the toillet read a few facts and go back to reading other books with real weight. I had high hopes because of the Chris Voss forward.
if you get this book get the paperback.
If we're the other I would try to do at least 4 pages per tip. or perhaps do little tips that are at the end and 2 pages and do "Key tips" that are 5-10 pages. Also breaking down the book into section with both an introduction and conclusion to each section would be more effective.
Section 1 Topic 1
chapter 1 section intro
chapter 2-10 tips (5-10 pages each)
chapter 11 conclusion/recap
do all next sections this way
Final Section "Quick Tips" (not as complex, have less impact or have less scientific backing) 2 pages per tip. less than 20% of the book should be this way.
this book seems cool but is all over the place.
